My love for music first properly developed around the age of 10 when the sounds of the likes of the Stone Roses, the Happy Mondays, New Order and old school hip hop came blaring from my brothers bedroom. From that moment I was obsessed by that music and still am! Every piece of music I make still comes from a desire to make music that gives people (and me) the feeling I get when I listen to that music.
I was in an indie band playing guitar and singing for about five years called Pacific, playing gigs all around Manchester at places such as The Boardwalk, Night and Day Cafe and The Roadhouse before I eventually got into nu-skool breaks thanks to the upstairs room at Tangled, Manchester around 1999. I have been making breaks on and off since then, and in 2003 I released two white labels which I co wrote with my friend Ben Scott aka Turnipwagon under the name Flapjack. The records sold well and had good reviews and even sold some copies across the pond in America.
In 2006 I moved to London and began busking on the London Undeground. I was singing and playing acoustic guitar and this re-ignited my passion for writng 'proper' songs, so to speak! Check me out on the video page! I began writing new songs and recording some of my old songs and after about two years I had 20 songs finished and recorderd. These have now been spread across two albums called 'Starting All Over' and 'Silent Sermon', and all of these songs can be downloaded for free on the music page. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did recording them!
